Leroy Elton Freeman, 73 of Cave City died Saturday, July 19, 2008 in a Batesville hospital. He was born on July 21, 1934 at McPherson, Kansas to Ross and Gladys Gates Freeman. Leroy was a retired farmer, who loved old trucks and cars and was a great fan of John Wayne. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, two daughters, and one grandson. Survivors include one son Roy Lee Freeman of Cave City; three daughters Janice Justice of Sidney, Karen Brown of Cave City and Josephine Freeman of Batesville; two brothers Ross Dixon Freeman, Jr. of California, and Gene Freeman of Oklahoma; one sister Dorothy Dickie of Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Scott Wahlquist officiating. Burial will follow in the Weaver's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy Justice, Gene Freeman, Larry Freeman, Josh Brown, David Heights, and Steve Walline. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Justice, Henry Farris, and Daniel Hulsey.
