hey everyone! I know I said in the last chapter that I wouldn't be uploading one before camp, but I decided to anyways!! It's like 1:20am here, but I thought that a whole week and a half was too long to wait for a chapter. so here's chapter 19! Hope you like it, let me know what you think! Chapter 19 *With Kevin 8:10* (He drives up to the address indicated on the card and gets out of his car. He recognizes the restaurant {AN: It's REALLY fancy} and goes inside.) Kevin: "Hi, I'm meeting up with Joseph...I think?" Host: "Okay, right this way." (he walks away and Kevin follows him to a table in the back. Joe is sitting at the table with a menu in his hand.) Kevin: "Joe? What's going on?" Joe: "Kevin! You made it! See, I SO told Bridgette you would be here on time!" Kevin: "Who's that? And why am I here? And why am I in this suit?" Joe: "You know what? I just remembered I have to go to the bathroom." Kevin: "Joe, you don't just 'remember'—"(Joe had already walked off) " ugh." (a couple minutes passed, and Kevin was still waiting at the table) ???: "Kevin?" (Kevin whirled his head around and his mouth dropped open) Sidney: "Look, I'm really sorry about all this, but you wouldn't answer my calls, so Joe decided--." Kevin: (bitterly) "Oh, right since you and Joe are so close now." Sidney: "I can explain about that." Kevin: "No, no. Don't bother. It's okay that you like him. I mean I should be used to it by now..." Sidney: (tears welling up in her eyes) "But I don't! It wasn't me on the phone with Joe!" Kevin: "Wait—what?" Sidney: "It was my cousin, Bridgette. SHE was the one who told Joe that she liked him! It wasn't me!" (tears are now streaming down her cheeks) Kevin: "Then why did you even give Joe your number in the first place?" Sidney: "He asked! And he's a freaking Jonas Brother! I-I'm not stupid..." Kevin: "Oh..." Sidney: "...Well, that's basically what I came here to clear up... I guess I should probably go." Kevin: "No, wait!" Sidney: (turns around) "What?" Kevin: "I'm sorry." Sidney: "For what?" Kevin: "For everything. For not answering your calls, for jumping to conclusions... for making you cry. It's all my fault." Sidney: (smiles, and sits back down) Kevin: "And for what it's worth...you look really beautiful." Sidney: (smiles again) "It's worth a lot." *8:15 On the beach with Nick and Callie* (they sat down in the sand close to the shore, staring into the horizon.) Nick: (breaking the silence) "I'm glad we did this. It completely took my mind off of Miley." Callie: "Me too. Usually I don't like being in the quiet, but this is different. I didn't think of Jeff at all." Nick: (disappointed) Oh... Is he your boyfriend then?" (thinking) "of course a girl like this has a boyfriend! I'm so stupid..." Callie: "Well...it's kind of...complicated...right now." Nick: "Oh." Callie: (suddenly turns towards Nick) "Ugh! I don't know why I keep saying that! When will I realize that he CHEATED on me?!" Nick: "Oh... I'm sorry." Callie: "Don't be. It's Jeff who should be sorry." Nick: "Do you want to talk?" Callie: (She sighed and looked into Nick's eyes. She desperately wanted to tell him everything. He was just so nice and understanding. But she really didn't want to even think about Jeff. That's why she didn't mention him until now. She could feel the gnawing in her stomach starting back up. She closed her eyes, breathed out and looked back at Nick's concerned face.) (thinking) "oh, right. He probably wants me to answer him." (in normal voice) "I don't really think I can right now. I'm sorry." Nick: "It's okay. But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here." Callie: "I'll remember that." (Callie smiles. They both lean their faces in a little bit closer to each other, inching forward, when all of a sudden--) wow, major cliff-hanger! haha, yes, that's right!! I'm making you wait a whole week and a half to find out what happens! and you thought i was so nice, giving you another chapter; silly reader. ha.ha.ha.
