Part of the series: Otis Legacy Project: Interviews of Distinguished Otis Alumni. Tom Van Sant attended Otis in 1957. His works cover everything from architecture to sculpture. One of his most famous works, combining his interest in art and science, is the Geosphere Project, begun in the mid 80's. Tom met Senator Al Gore in 1990, and 15 years later Mr. Gore used Toms image "Earth from Space" in his award-winning "slideshow" Inconvenient Truth. Tom was interviewed by Otis students in March 2008.
