Following the breakup of early-'90s groove-trashers Exhorder, frontman Kyle Thomas (vocals/guitar) formed Floodgate with guitarist Steven Fisher, bassist Kevin Thomas, and drummer Neil Montgomery. Their sole CD for Roadrunner Records, entitled Penalty, was released in 1996.
