It's a nudge/wink attitude towards lesbian romance rather than something more serious by Melissa Etheridge or Toshi Reagon. Etheridge's "Come to my window" lashes out at society for not understanding her sapphic love. On the other hand, Perry is reveling in her naughtiness.
