SSTV video in Robot 36 format received in NJ from the International Space Station on Wednesday October 15, 2008. This image was received on a frequency of 145.800 MHz, decoded using QSSTV software, and shows a view out of one of the space station's windows. This video transmission was made by Richard Garriott, flying on the ISS as a private citizen. His father is astronaut Owen Garriott. Audio recording and image dissection was performed using Linux-based software of my own design. MPEG encoding was performed using MEncoder.
Game developer Richard Garriott and his crew mates docked with the ISS at 09:26 GMT October 14, 2006. They immediately took part in a quick press conference and were welcomed on board by the existing ISS crew. Video provided by Space Adventures.
