Chapter 11 part 1 - MARATHON 5/15 I woke up the next day to Nick, Joe, Kevin and Frankie sitting on my bed, watching Barney the Dinosaur. I groaned and struggled to get up. Frankie and Joe were sitting on the bottom half of my legs and I couldn't move. "Joe, Frankie, why are you two sitting on my legs? And why are all four of you sitting in my room watching Barney? Wait, don't answer that. It was probably Joe's idea." I said. I pushed Joe off my legs and asked Frankie to get off my feet. When he did I stood up and got out of my bed. I turned the television off and faced them. "Okay, so what are you four doing here? I thought Nick said we were going to come meet up with you guys at YOUR house." I said. "Yeah...But it's like 10:30 now and we we're supposed to leave at 11. Your brothers and sisters are getting read now." Nick said. My eyes widened. "Barnicles! Why didn't you guys wake me up earlier! Ah! Excuse me, I need to shower you guys can still watch Barney. No peeking." I grabbed some clothes and ran into the washroom. 10 minutes later, I walked out of the washroom dressed in black skinny jeans, a red and white shirt that said 'Rock Music 1980s' and blank converse. I had a brush in one hand and a hair dryer in the other. I walked in front of my mirror, sat down and began blow drying and brushing my hair. When I was done I plugged in my flat iron and began to straighten my hair. I looked in the mirror and saw an amused look on each of the boys’ face. I rolled my eyes and continued straightening my hair. When I was done that I put on a tiny bit of make-up and dragged the boys out of my room. "That was fast. You finished all that in like 25 minutes. It's only 10:55." Joe said, with that same amused look plastered all over his face. I laughed. "Yeah, I'm pretty amazing aren't I?" I joked. We walked into the living room and saw Heather, Josh and Mark waiting. Heather walked over to each of us and gave us morning hugs'. "Oh by the way, Mark is staying here with Frankie and Samantha." She said. "Why?" I asked. "He changed his mind and didn't want to come." "Oh well." We walked out of my house. Kevin and Heather were walking up front. Joe and Josh were walking in right behind them and Nick and I were walking at the back. It was just like that day when we first met them, and we were following them to the games room. I didn't say anything and neither did Nick. I was still caught up in that little moment yesterday afternoon and something told me Nick was too. But he couldn't be. Could he? "So, were the shopping malls big back in LA?" Nick asked, breaking the awkward silence. "Are you kidding me? YEAH! Ah, I'm going to miss those big beautiful shopping malls." I pretended to sniff as if I was crying which made Nick laugh a little. "Oh come on, it's not like it was a person or something!" He joked. I laughed. "True. But a girl does love her clothes and accessories." We forgot about the awkwardness that had been created between the two of us yesterday and started talking about the most random things until we got to the mall. When we got to the mall I gasped. It wasn't as big as the ones in California but it was still pretty huge! "Oh my gosh! What are we waiting for? Come on! Let's go you slow pokes!” I grabbed Nick's hand without realizing and started running. I felt an electric shock go through my body and I quickly let go of his hand. "Umm...sorry, I didn't realize I grabbed your hand..." I said quietly. "That’s alright." He said and we started following the others into the mall. What happened back there? Did he feel that shock too? What does it mean? Maryanne, stop it! You aren't allowed to like him! It's for your own good. Now forget about your feelings for him and focus on shopping! I saw urban outfitters and I left everyone without them realizing. I walked into the store and crashed into a boy. "Oh my gosh! I am so, so sor-" I stopped talking when I got a good look at him. He was tall. He had longish/medium length brown hair and brown eyes. He smiled when he saw me staring up at him. "Uh, as I was saying...I'm sorry for crashing into you. I'm such a klutz!" I said really fast, avoiding eye contact with him. He's really cute... Hmm... Maybe he’ll be a good distraction. Getting my mind off of Nick... "That's alright. I've haven't seen you before, you new?" He asked. "Yeah. I just moved here yesterday from LA." Youtube's being gay again. :( Read next part. :)
