Communication is one of the greatest aspects of humanity. We are drawn to technologies which allow us to communicate faster and more easily with greater numbers of people. We've come a long way since the first telegraph machine. Now we live in an interconnected world where social nets and wireless communication are the norm. As technology improves, personal privacy will break down as new implantable devices allow us to share our senses and be connected 24/7. At some point, the boundaries between peoples minds will become ambiguous. Connected minds will be broadcast and received by massive nets of people. Our individuality will be marginalized as people become mere nodes in a hive mind culture. We are well on the way. For better or for worse, this future is very likely.
