[Title] "Jungle Book" White Balancing: Fun with your Consumer Video cam. [Music] "22 Ghosts III" from GHOSTS I-IV by Nine Inch Nails [[Used under CREATIVE COMMONS LICENSED MUSIC!!!!]] [Topic] Ok so in school we used Sony DVX-100 and Panasonic DVC-Pro. In those you had a couple settings - A or B (which were presets from the last time you white balanced), but pretty much you have to re-white balance the camera EVERY TIME after you move lights! Seriously. Those are *PRO*sumer cameras. What I use at home (like 98% of us here on YT probably too) is a typical little consumer video camera that anyone can buy - mine was bought through Dell when I ordered my computer back in 2003. SO yeah! lol I'm gonna show you how you white balance through a "jungle book" like I got from school to make the camera "See white" as a different color. "White Balancing" is really just that - zooming in a white sheet of paper really when your light is set up, and Pressing the set button when you white balance. And it'll see white as perfect white. Well if you look through a colored piece of transparent glossy "gel", it'll show the camera a different color but it'll turn everything the opposite color. JUST WATCH to understand. It's tough to explain (lol). :) Thanks for watchin'. --- Kat @ Morbid Kitty Productions [ http://www.youtube.com/KatatMKP ]
