Large Model railway built for tourist venue at Flaxton in Queensland between 1979 and 1981 by Richard Vaughan MacKay. The project including travelling to Germany to research similar attractions in Nuremburg and various other cities as well and purchasing a lot of the equipment. The layout measures approximately 15 metres by 6 metres. The show is sequenced into six day and night time frames by computer, (which was very advanced for its time. Six trains were operating on four circuits at any time. The layout was German themed and included a city, towns, coal mine and alpine complete with Neuschwanstein castle. The cost of the project was estimated at $180,000 Australian dollars.
